How do I connect Shopify to ChatGPT?

Install the first-party Shopify plugin for ChatGPT once, then tag @Shopify in any message to build or manage your store from a ChatGPT conversation.

Do I need a Shopify store to start?

No. You can create a new store right from ChatGPT by describing your business idea, preview different designs, and claim one to start selling. Already have a store? Connect and manage it by installing the plugin.

Can I use the Shopify plugin for ChatGPT with more than one store?

Yes. Ask to switch between stores in a chat message. You'll need to approve access to each additional store before you can manage it from ChatGPT.

Do I have to type @Shopify every time?

The tag is what connects the conversation to your store. Without it, ChatGPT answers from general knowledge, which is helpful but not personalized to your business. With it, the plugin can read your real products, orders, and sales data, and make changes when you ask.

What does the plugin cost? Is there a trial?
